The 24-Hour Rejection Audit
Most strong candidates don't get rejected — they get screened out in the first day, silently. Run these five checks before your next application.
1. The posting is actually live
Confirm it's open on the company's own careers page — not an aggregator copy of a posting that closed last week. Aggregators recycle dead jobs constantly.
2. The seat matches your level
Title, scope, and seniority line up with your record. A step-down application doesn't read as humility — it screens as a risk.
3. The location terms actually work
Remote, hybrid, onsite, geography — as posted, not as you hope. Check before you invest an hour in the application.
4. You've read every knockout question first
Sponsorship, work authorization, compensation band, required certifications. Read the whole form before you start it, so nothing surprises you mid-submit.
5. Your resume answers in their words — and the posting is saved
Your experience, mapped to the requirements in the posting's own terms, from facts you can prove. Then save the full posting: when the interview comes, you prep from the real document.
This is the pre-flight every AppsOnAuto application passes.
